Research - James Nader

The above images are all of a similar composition and have similar lighting used. The reason for selecting these images is because these are what I'm looking to achieve. The use of light is great in the fact that it keeps the texture in the clothing. Its simple but effective. These images all have a stern appearance and flout the classic fashion/catwalk pose.

These 3 images all have a great use of props that are relevant to the fashion world and go from the classic (bottom) to the obsessive (Top). The lighting is different for all 3 images but the effect is the same by giving a nice natural glow on the subject and the prop. The bottom image highlights the texture of the fabric over the models face but still looks elegant and sleek. The top image shows a shoe obsession and is an obvious advertising campaign but the styling is brilliant.

These last 3 images are of a high standard of styling and what I'm looking at at the minute. The top image is intriguing and the use of directional light creates interesting shapes across the models clay like face. Its a very cold looking image and so is the second image. The use of strong blue light adds to the interesting composition. The final image is a simple head shot but its sleek and simple. It almost leaves me wanted more...........
